The Lord is who He says He is. The gift and calling of the Lord is irrevocable. Faithful is He who called us and He will also do it. Praise the Lord! It is important in hard times to keep a tender heart towards God and towards others. Other people wound out of their brokenness. Don’t become judgmental, because they have not yet come to a deeper understanding of needs and love. Love them as Jesus loves you.

Psalm 12 (New American Standard Bible)
1Help, LORD, for (A)the godly man ceases to be,
For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.
2They (B)speak falsehood to one another;
With (C)flattering lips and with a double heart they speak.
3May the LORD cut off all flattering lips,
The tongue that (D)speaks great things;
4Who (E)have said, “With our tongue we will prevail;
Our lips are our own; who is lord over us?”
5“Because of the (F)devastation of the afflicted, because of the groaning of the needy,
Now (G)I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will (H)set him in the safety for which he longs.”
6The (I)words of the LORD are pure words;
As silver (J)tried in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.
7You, O LORD, will keep them;
You will (K)preserve him from this generation forever.
8The (L)wicked strut about on every side
When [a](M)vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

There are several ways to love – today we will talk about two…
Tangible Love
James 2:15-17 (Amplified Bible) “If a brother or sister is poorly clad and lacks food for each day, And one of you says to him, Good-bye! Keep [yourself] warm and well fed, without giving him the necessities for the body, what good does that do? So also faith, if it does not have works (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead).”It never ceases to amaze me how much need there is in this world! But what is even more impacting is the amount of resources available to meet those needs. If we live for Jesus this realization of truth needs to be a defining moment, where the rubber meets the road. If we say we love Jesus, but ignore the needs of those around us, we are not filled with His love. At times, it is easier to say that, when we achieve a certain financial mark or this social mark we will lend a hand. When in reality, love is giving what you have now and believing God to continue to provide. What we have learned is that, when we give all we have when a need for someone else arises, God is more than faithful to continue to meet our needs. We don’t give in hopes of some sort of return we give because Jesus freely gave to us and desires that of His followers. This is real love!
Inward Love
Another example of loving others is through the condition of our hearts! Something you have probably seen among a lot of people is hatred, for us we experienced hatred and even racism from others who say they love Jesus, which are contrary to the example of love that Jesus gave us. As believers, it is important to express love to one another and not have ugliness in our hearts.
1 John 2:9-11 (Amplified Bible) Whoever says he is in the Light and [yet] hates his brother [Christian, born-again child of God his Father] is in darkness even until now. Whoever loves his brother [believer] abides (lives) in the Light, and in It or in him there is no occasion for stumbling or cause for error or sin. But he who hates (detests, despises) his brother [in Christ] is in darkness and walking (living) in the dark; he is straying and does not perceive or know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
This week, May you be filled with the love of Jesus, both tangibly and inwardly toward others!

Several years ago I was in a prayer meeting; the atmosphere was filled with the sweet presence and love of God. His love was so warm and embracing. I was in a season of life where God was teaching me to look to Him and to learn from every situation. So I asked Him, “God what are you showing me?” His response was something that completely changed me and my understanding of who I am… He said, His love is the most powerful thing in this world. When I heard it at the time I didn’t quite understand the depth of what he was talking about so I asked Him if he could show me this in the scriptures. He lead me to read in 1 John chapter four. As I started reading, it was as if the words jumped out of the text.
1 John 4:16-17 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world!
Did you see it in verse 16? “God is love.” Remember He told me that, His love is the most powerful thing in this world. And continuing on into verse 17 “as He is, so also are we in this world.” So then, with Christ dwelling in you as one who lives your life for Jesus, “as He is, so also are we in this world.” You are love! You are the most powerful thing in this world! This is who we are as Christ’s bride! If you can grasp the revelation behind this, it will change your entire outlook on what it is to live for Jesus!
Our prayer is that today the Holy Spirit would give you a deeper revelation of how powerful you are in Christ! You are the love of Jesus to a broken, and hurting world!

LOVE – IT’S ALL ABOUT LOVE!
Psalm 33:21-22 (Amplified Bible)
“For in Him does our heart rejoice, because we have trusted (relied on and been confident) in His holy name. Let Your mercy and loving-kindness, O Lord, be upon us, in proportion to our waiting and hoping for You.”
This week we have been working with the hurting in our city – those suffering from physical need, those suffering loneliness and abandonment because of their age, and those searching for the direction of their life. What do we have that we could possibly share to help these three, very distinct groups of people? Simple, it’s LOVE – IT’S ALL ABOUT THE LOVE!
Loving Kindness is the principle of Jesus’ beautiful heart towards us. His simple, uncomplicated, beyond barriers love is what reached deep into our hearts and held us, molded us and showed us who we were, and the value that He saw in us. This is the type of love that we are sharing towards others. People around us are desperate for the kind, loving heart of God to love them beyond failures, indecisions, situations, goals, or successes. Sometimes the most successful, driven people are those most in desperate need of true love. Realizing that life is not about what you do, who you know, but rather about learning who loves you – Jesus – that is the real difference. That is the difference we desire to bring into a hurting world every day!
May your heart rejoice in Him, may you be confident and filled with hope, may you wait on the Lord – May He reveal His heart towards YOU – YOU ARE LOVED!
Would help support us as we work here and abroad to share the LOVE of Jesus to the world?
