It is a wonderful thing when teens get involved in helping the less fortunate. There are many teens out there that are willing to give their time and heart to help others. Unfortunately their good intentions will not get them to their destination.

They will need to find ways to raise money for their mission trip. Here are just a few ideas to get them started on their journey to raise money for their mission trip to help others and spread the Word of God.

Write a Letter: Believe it or not, one of the simplest things they can do is to write a letter. If every single person on the team wrote a genuinely heart-felt letter to 50 people or more, then imagine what the outcome could be! This is one of the easiest things to do to raise money that everyone can participate in. Here is a sample letter you can use to construct your own letter. You should not copy it word for word. Just use it as an example and include your own feelings and ideas.

Ask your Congregation for Help: Talk with the leaders of your church. Many times, the church will allow the Christian teens to address their congregation about the mission trip. Sometimes a church will allow a “love offering”, which is when the offerings for that day will all be donated to the mission trip.

Host a Fundraising Event: This can be a lot of fun! Be creative and come up with your own fun ideas. Here are just a few ideas to get you started:

• Chore Auction
• Penny Drives
• Candy Sales
• Carnival
• Chili Dinner
• Kids Night Out Party

We are growing in ministry and expending the kingdom of God to tribal villages of Jharkhand & Bihar. Recently we have started ministry in 5 more villages in Pakur. We are having weekly prayer meetings in these villages and planning to start a children’s literacy program. We need your sincere prayers for the same. We have 5 Pastor’s with us to help the ministry. We are planning to have our Christmas gathering together in our centre church at Pakur. If God provides, we are planning to buy Christmas clothes as a gift for all Pastors and their family, and if possible provide clothes to poor tribal who cannot afford the same.

We have started an orphanage at our home with two children. They are real orphans having no parents. We as family have had a desire long back to start our Christian gang of orphans and had in mind to take real orphans – those who have no parents, as I understand the pain and difficulties of having no parents at all. These children and children we are going to take in the future will remain in our house as family members.

This year we could not distribute the blankets in this winter season. If you remember last year we sent the picture of an old man receiving a blanket outside of our house. He came to us this year also asking for a blanket for the cold season, but we were unable to due to lack of funds. He died on 24 Nov. due to heavy cold this year. Even now we have chances to save the life of old and small children suffering from poverty and unable to buy blankets.

We are starting a mission school in Pakur, where poor tribal children can get an education in English medium. Our greatest need at present is school furniture for children. The cost of per set is only Rs. 1500/- in which 4 students can seat easily. We are in need of 60 sets in the beginning.

We have made 2010 ministry calendar and wish to send our friends praying and supporting us to please send your postal address; it will be easy for us to send the same.

We need your sincere prayers for our growing family and ministry. We are thankful to each one of you for praying, supporting and writing encouragement letters to us.

There are so many people out there right now suffering from many different things. Children are suffering from the pain of losing their parents. Parents are suffering from the loss of their children. Greetings in Jesus’ name.

Our VBS team is back from Bihar after 3 days ministry among tribal children. We could teach them new songs, and Sunita (my Wife) shared them Bible stories in Shantali language, then we could distribute Pencils, eraser, colors, sweets and Caps(Donated by Mike Randall)

Every evening we had prayer meetings for Villagers, so many people and listened Gospel. Please pray that they come closer to Lord even more.

Keep on praying for Youth Camp in the same village for next month. We are looking for financial support for the same.

Our family sends regards to each one of you and we do pray for you daily.

Christian missionaries all over the world are setting out to foreign places to spread the Word of God. There are so many people who feel they are called upon to spread God’s Word. It is their dream to share the Word of God to all the people of the world. These Christian missionaries are responsible for many tasks, but there are seven specific tasks that they intend to accomplish.

1. Glorify our One True God – As Christians, we believe there is only ONE God. The God we honor is the ONE and only creator of the universe and all living things. He is the one who made us to be special and unique. Missionaries set out to glorify God, and to share their belief that there is only ONE God Almighty.
2. Model the Body of Christ – Missionaries try to model the loving fellowship that they have experienced just from knowing and loving Jesus, and having God as a constant presence in their lives. They do not pretend to be perfect. They just want to share how God’s presence has fulfilled their lives, and hope to inspire people to love God so they can experience the ultimate love and peace God can provide.
3. Tell about God’s love to those who do not Believe – They are not there to tell them what to believe. Missionaries simply want to share their love for God and tell people what God has done for them. Missionaries want to share the truth about God’s Son Jesus, who sacrificed Himself on the cross for our sins, and how Jesus resurrected on the third day.
4. Offer More in Depth Education to those who Believe – Missionaries want to teach new believers how to grown in their faith. Through the Christian Bible, Missionaries will teach new believers the basic fundamentals of Christian faith and practice, such as: worshipping God, reading and studying the Bible, praying, dealing with conflict, forgiving themselves and others, and how to share the Word of God and Jesus with others.
5. Help To Establish Local Churches – Helping to not only build the churches, but to share with new believers the importance of establishing fellowship through these local churches, where people can come to serve and honor God, while supporting others.
6. Establish Leaders of Faith – It is very important to establish leaders of faith. Missionaries can only share the Word of God for so long, and then they must move on to another place. Missionaries have a hard time letting go, but if they are able to leave the area knowing there is a leader to help them, this makes leaving a little less difficult.
7. Encourage the National Church to spread the Word of God – Teach the leaders, as well as the disciples to share the Word of God, to increase their church members, and to help others see God’s love for them.

Missionaries have an important job; however, it is often times very hard for missionaries to come up with the money to travel to these places. They need your help. God has given us all special and unique talents. Missionaries are special, and with your help, they can continue to share the Word of God.
